Welcome to Centro!

Centro Comunitario y de Asesoria Legal, Inc. serves the Queens and New York City immigrant community by providing educational workshops, offering legal guidance, making referrals to legal and social services, and in some instances, providing legal representation. We invite you to browse our website to learn about our services and find out about ways you can contribute to our mission.

Thank you to all of our supporters who attended the Juvenile Justice Project Launch Event at Natives Restaurant on March 24, 2011!

The Juvenile Justice Project, Centro Comunitario’s newest project, focuses on serving at-risk immigrant youth.  The project will assess the cases of undocumented immigrant minors who are particularly vulnerable because they come from unsafe homes or have been abandoned or separated from their families to determine whether they qualify for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS).  The Project will work with youth groups to provide legal education to minors and will partner with other organizations to guide eligible minors through the SIJS process.
